Fantastic news! At Strike Finder™, we’re always striving to make things better and smarter. We’ve got a couple of new prototypes that we’re cooking up that you’ll like, so stay tuned, we’ll be announcing them soon.
But first, we’re happy to announce some recent refinements to our highly successful Strike Finder™ line and we are confident you’ll appreciate what we’ve done.
By popular demand, we’ve added a sensitivity adjustment to the lightning sensor on all of our products. This gives you complete flexibility so you can control what happens in the field. Prior to the refinement, the sensitivity was fixed, meaning there was no way to adjust the trigger which could lead to some false shots (if the lightning was not directly in front of the lens). Now, you’ll be able to set the sensitivity for even further shots or set it for only the brightest lighting bolts. Additionally, the basic Strike Finder™ model now includes laser functionality that was only available in the higher-end models.
Furthermore, on the Strike Finder™ Elite, we’ve made some very nice enhancements. Currently, the motion sensing capability has been limited to taking pictures once a second while motion is detected. Now you’ll be able to adjust the interval in between shots from 1 sec – 10 sec. That means if wildlife appears in front of your camera, you’ll be able to adjust how frequently your camera snaps pictures.
Another feature we are excited to tell you about is the ability to leave your camera lens on Auto Focus. In the past, the lens was required to be set to Manual Focus. Now, the Elite will trigger the camera to focus your lens for you (assuming your lens is set to AF). If you choose not to use AF, you can set your camera to photo burst and the Strike Finder Elite will trigger the camera to burst for 1 second!. These additional enhancements will make the Strike Finder Elite the best choice for shooting wildlife!
While we’re on the topic of sharing some changes to our products, we have decided to phase out the Strike Finder™ Pro. The decision was made because we already sell a dedicated intervalometer (Timer Remote Cables) and they do a fantastic job. Additionally, with the enhanced Strike Finder (with laser functionality), you will be able to accomplish the same features as the Pro model with the Strike Finder™ and a Timer Remote for less than the price of a Strike Finder Pro. We feel this makes more sense to package our products this way.
